Hampton: Big verbal for Beavers Comments

Craig Robinson and staff landed a big recruit for the 2010 class in Devon Collier from St. Anthony’s High School in Jersey City, N.J.

Collier is a 6-8, 215-pound forward who is rated as a four-star recruit by Scout. He gave a verbal commitment to Oregon State after a recruitment that included Providence, St. John’s and Seton Hall as serious contenders.

Maryland, Memphis, Rutgers and West Virginia were also reportedly in the mix.

Collier joins Ahmad Starks as players who have verballed to OSU in the 2010 class.
