Hampton: Pac-10 Power Poll Comments
Here’s my Pac-10 Power Poll
1. OREGON (3-1, 1-0): The Ducks move into the top spot this week with blowout win over Cal. Home has been sweet so far, but we’ll see how the Ducks handle the road.
2. ARIZONA (3-1, 1-0): Boy, did I miss the call on the Wildcats. If Nick Foles is the real deal at QB, we might see Arizona in the top half of this poll for the rest of the season.
3. UCLA (3-0, 0-0): The Bruins are coming off a bye, so no movement for them this week. A big game with Stanford is up next.
4. USC (3-1, 1-1): Well, the Trojans kind of bounced back with a solid win over WSU. How will they handle the loss of Stefon Johnson?
5. STANFORD (3-1, 2-0): Everybody is chasing the Cardinal, in the standings, anyway. Still, this is a pretty decent team.
6. ARIZONA STATE (2-1, 0-0): The Sun Devils are coming off a loss, but it was a close one at Georgia. Now it’s a home game against struggling Oregon State.
7. CALIFORNIA (3-1, 0-1): Just when you think the Golden Bears are on the brink of greatness, they up and fold. This team has too much talent to fall apart completely, however.
8. OREGON STATE (2-2, 0-1): The Beavers couldn’t hold off Arizona at home. Now they have to take on the Sun Devils in Tempe where they haven’t won in decades.
9. WASHINGTON (2-2, 1-1): It was fun while it lasted. A little taste for the future, perhaps.
10. WASHINGTON STATE (1-3, 0-1): Well, the loss to the Trojans wasn’t embarrasing.
