Back to work Comments
This is my first day back at work after several days of vacation. I’ve been gone since just before the NBA draft and I certainly missed being here on one of the best days for the Trail Blazers in a long time. To tell the truth, I missed a lot of things. The trip took our family up to Canada and there wasn’t a whole lot of American sports coverage available, at least not where we were at. It made me thankful for my few brief chances to check up on the sports world on the Internet, where I learned about things like the Randolph trade. I somehow missed the Hargove resignation and didn’t find out about that until I was back home.
In exchange for an absence of sports news, however, we did get to see lots of beautiful country, including a drive home through Jasper and Banff, down into northern Idaho and home through Spokane. It’s a drive I would recommend to anyone, the kind of experience you can’t get from a television or a computer screen.
